Engineering Manager - Nike Retail Commerce Engineering - NDE

Manage a high performing engineering team that’s focused on building next generation cloud integration platform for Retail. The team is responsible to create and manage a highly scalable and reliable multi region AWS platform that caters to over 1000 stores in 25 countries.

In this role, you are responsible for hiring, coaching and guiding the engineering team to develop and master the engineering skills to continuously deliver innovative cloud solutions and to adopt and perfect DevOps model. The success in the role will come from networking with architects, product teams and other engineering teams to build a platform that can cater to retail and beyond. The successful candidate is a proven software leader with excellent communication and relationship building skills in addition to current, hands-on coding skills.

What we’re looking for:

• 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management or technical leadership role.
• Experience designing and developing cloud-hosted solutions, preferably AWS managed services.
• Strong skills in team leadership and building positive customer relationships
• Experience in microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful APIs using languages such as Java or Node
• Experience with Continuous delivery in DevOps culture providing 24/7 support of global solution
• Experienced in managing scrum or agile teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area
